I paid twice that for a well-used set on fleabay, about five years ago, and it was a good deal at the time.<br /><br />Re: the screws, you nailed it on the double lead and coarseness issue, whereas a lot of online sources get that wrong. I've switched to the Irwin bits for hard woods (like maple), or gummy woods like fir, and save the RJs for things like walnut, poplar, or mahogany.
